Overview

Get up close to natural, unspoilt beauty and take some unique photos on a Zodiac Boat Tour on Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. With a Zodiac boat, you’ll get a better view of the massive iceberg than you would have from the beach. You’ll zip between the blue and white bergs, spotting seals along the way and enjoying the fantastic views of Vatnajökull National Park.

Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon has often been described as one of this country’s most beautiful places, and that’s saying something considering the number of stunning attractions found here in Iceland. The lagoon is located in the southeast corner of the country, in Vatnajökull National Park. It is a beautiful body of aquamarine water, filled with enormous icebergs which have broken off a nearby glacier.

The icebergs drift lazily on the water on their way towards the ocean. In between them, you can often spot seals swimming. On a boat tour, you’ll get to experience this magnificent scenery up close, and you will be given ample time to capture it all on camera.

You will sail in a Zodiac boat, a type of Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIB). Their stiff hull provides excellent shock absorption, giving the boat more stability on the water. That makes them a perfect choice for those who tend to suffer from motion sickness. The lightweight construction and powerful motor make the Zodiac Boat extremely fast, allowing you to see more and experience more in a shorter amount of time.

The tour starts at the parking lot at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. There, you will meet your guide who will provide you with a flotation suit and life jacket. Remember to wear gloves as it might get cold on the water. You will then board the boat and sail on the water, getting as close to the massive icebergs as possible.

Experience the beauty of Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon in a unique and unforgettable way with a Zodiac Boat Tour. Book now to secure your spot on this popular adventure.
