Overview

Discover the hidden gems found just outside of Vík Village while simultaneously feeling your adrenaline pumping on a Zipline Tour. You’ll get a new perspective on Iceland’s beautiful nature by seeing it from above, with the wind blowing in your hair and your feet dangling in the air. In total, you’ll zip down four lines, flying over meadows, canyons, and waterfalls.

The tour starts in the village of Vík, located on Iceland’s southern coast, a stone’s throw away from the famous Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach. Here, a guide will pick you up from a designated meeting point and take you to a location outside town.

You’ll take a short hike to the platform for the first zipline, known as Little Rush. Your guide will give you a few safety directions, strap you into a harness, and make sure you are comfortable. Then there is nothing left but to leap off the platform and whizz through the air at a speed you usually need a car to reach.

You will find the second zipline close to the landing point of Little Rush. The second one is the Gentle Giant and is the longest zipline of the day at 240 metres (787 ft). It is also considered to be the most scenic one. Once at the bottom of the Gentle Giant, you’ll take a short hike through a beautiful canyon to reach the last two ziplines, Leap of Faith and Big Rush.

You’ll zip down four ziplines throughout the tour, flying over meadows, canyons, and waterfalls. During the hikes, your guide will tell you all about your surrounding environment and the rich and fascinating history of Vík Village. At the end of the day, the guide will drop you off back at Vík, where you have the rest of the day free to explore Vík or South Iceland to your heart’s content.
